my new imperial guard paint job

Related to Napalm's post, I intend to put a quick batch painting tutorial for human faces next Tuesday. Perhaps some pictures as well....

Thanks for the complements. i would put more detail into the faces but my hands are not steady at all.

Your painting skills are strong, blacknapalm, and your models are painted well. The only thing I'd suggest is to add detail to the faces of the guardsmen, and I think doing so with washes would be the best option. Nonetheless, your painting is very nice, I like your paint job.

here is my more up to date model i was thinking how bland and boring the Imperial Guard motor team was it had no leader and no communication what is the point to have a motor team and no way to tell them ware you need the ordinance and a leader who seems to know what he is doing would be handy too so this is what i came up with (sorry the pics are not that great)

ohhhh ya and i am thinking about buying one of those back packs that have speakers in them and turn it into a army case so i can play Ride of the Valkyries




and of course my CO is going to be modeled after Col.Killgore

Wow, thats awesome. I bet you can't wait for the Valkyries . Then us IG players can finally reinact the most EPIC scene in any movie ever filmed. Duh-duh-duh da duh duh-duh-duh..... ok I hope you get the picture...

Maybe I missed it over at MWG, but I like that you chose the number 113. A M113 in the Army is the current equivalant of a Rhino! LOL

for my new guard army i am modeling them like the Air Cav off Apocalypse now because i am obsessed by that movie. these are old pics but you get the idea
